Master +5 years’ experience or PhD ADC/DAC Designer
NordAmps, a semiconductor company, founded in 2017, and based in Lund, Sweden is looking for a Master +5 years’ experience or PhD ADC/DAC Designer.
We develop In(Ga)As vertical nanowire transistors on Si-substrates with competitive device performance – high-frequency operation enabled by optimal material properties and by a vertical topology. NordAmps’ technology combines the high performance of III-V materials in a scalable technology with cost-effectiveness supported by silicon substrates.
With a dedicated focus on innovation and excellence, we aim to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of readout circuits for quantum computing. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in an EU project bringing together key players from the semiconductor industry and academia in Europe, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Master +5 years’ experience or PhD ADC/DAC Designer to join our dynamic team.
Description of the Position:
As an ADC/DAC Designer at NordAmps AB, you will be responsible for a demonstrator in Hardware/Software for signal generation and detection circuits for readout of quantum computing signals. The design task involves topics such as:
- Systemization,
- A Sample & Hold block,
- A Switch cap Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) / current steering DAC
- a CLK phase generator for a Time interleaved Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the design and development of ADCs and DACs, and preferably in a high-speed application.
- Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation with PVT.MC, and post-layout simulation.
- Strong understanding of signal processing techniques and principles.
- Understanding of noise analysis and mitigation strategies in analog circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Testing and verification of ADC/DAC
- Up to date with the latest advances in AD/DAC design
- Experience with CAD tools for circuit design and simulation, such as Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Desired Competence
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with quantum computing concepts and architectures.
- Knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms and techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB/Octave, or Verilog/Verilog-A.
- Self-motivated
- Experience working within an international team environment, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultural boundaries.
